Behind the CADs​

Passionate!… about design, particularly furniture design. I am inspired by a huge variety of everyday objects and nature, which I translate into my designs. For example, the leg details of my leather desk are inspired by old chased silver cigarette cases and its moulded corners reference old-fashioned hat blocks.​

I am also increasingly drawn to finding a contemporary vernacular for furniture that takes in local West African cultures, traditions and architecture over the years. Designing pieces that reflect this, is my new sight line.

Presently, I work on a freelance basis both for design companies and private clients. Briefs include free-standing pieces to fully fitted interiors. My designs are versatile and I take my cues from the style references of each project. Services are tailored to the exact requirements of my clients and therefore each project is unique.
